NEW YORK, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Supermodel Naomi Campbell said a variety of celebrities gathered in New York for a fashion show whose profits go to help quake-stricken Haiti.

The New York Daily News said Saturday Campbell, 39, embraced her modeling roots Friday night at the Fashion for Relief catwalk show in New York's Bryant Park.

Ticket sales from the fashion event benefited the Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere as the charity organization attempts to rebuild the health care system for women and children in Haiti following a devastating Jan. 12 earthquake.

"I look forward to visiting Haiti to witness how the funds we raise are helping make a difference," Campbell wrote in a recent newspaper column. "Mothers and their children are Haiti's future; we must not let them down."

Also serving as models for Friday's event were singers Chris Brown and Kelly Osborne, while designers such as Dolce & Gabbana and Ralph Lauren provided outfits for the show.

The Daily News said the event was hosted by Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, as part of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
