American Girl fashion show auditions this weekend (FOX 19 Cincinnati) Posted: 08 Jan 2010 04:42 AM PST
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) – Six Toyota dealers from Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky are sponsoring an American Girl Fashion Show April 23-25 at the Music Hall in downtown Cincinnati, and the auditions are on, starting this weekend. The American Girl Fashion Show is a fun-filled afternoon for girls, their families and favorite dolls. The young models provide an entertaining and educational look at how generations of American Girls have used clothing to express their own unique style and personality. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased by calling the Aubrey Rose Foundation at (513) 728-2680 or visiting www.aubreyrose.org. Admittance includes the performance, souvenirs and food. The American Girl Fashion Show is presently looking for local girls, between the ages of three and 12 years old, to participate in next spring's event. To schedule a free audition, visit www.aubreyrose.org. The local audition schedule includes the following dates and Toyota dealer locations: Saturday, January 9 (9 a.m. to noon) – Kings Toyota, 4700 Ertel Road. "We are very proud to be supporting the American Girl Fashion Show and especially the Aubrey Rose Foundation," said Scott Neiheisel, Regional Marketing Manager for Toyota's Cincinnati-based sales office. "At Toyota, we value strong, healthy families and it resonates with everything we do locally and nationally. We look forward to strong public support at the dealers' auditions, as well as the final competition in April." All proceeds from this unique fashion show will go to the Aubrey Rose Foundation and its mission of assisting families caring for children with life-threatening illnesses. The Aubrey Rose Foundation was founded in memory of Aubrey Rose, a young child who died just shy of her three-year birthday. Yet, her spirit is embodied in a Foundation whose mission is to help families caring for children with life-threatening illnesses, with a focus on the family unit. The organization strives to lift families from life's complexities during this difficult time by providing emotional and financial support. Copyright 2010 WXIX-TV and Raycom Media.
