"Last year,  we had such great success in finding forever homes for several of the shelter dogs,  we decided to do it again, " says Diane Lundeen of Petcetera,  a local pet boutique sponsoring the event. "This year we've added new features. Pet photographer Scott Stuntz will be taking portraits of pets and their people. We will also have great food choices  --  Nacho Mama's,  Cafe Atchafalaya,  Joey K's and Mahoney's Po-Boys  --  so people can have dinner at the event."

There is a charge for the food,  but all proceeds from food sales go to the individual animal rescue groups assigned to each restaurant.

Following the fashion show, a costume contest with prizes is open to canines and their companions.

Tickets can also be purchased for a $500 cash door prize,  to raise additional funds for the Louisiana Humane Society.

No only will those in attendance get an overview of local options for Halloween costumes and accessories for both humans (from Miss Claudia's Vintage Shop and New Orleans Party & Costume) and animals (from Petcetera),  but Lundeen will also debut her NOLA Bitch collection of clothing and accessories for dogs.
