Maurices in Moorhead will host a pet-themed fashion show and silent auction Sept. 14 at the Moorhead Center Mall to benefit the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The 7 p.m. event is part of the clothing chain's "Rescues and Runways" nationwide campaign to support local animal shelters, according to Maurices manager Michelle Lemar. Maurices is partnering with the Fargo-Moorhead Humane Society, which will showcase pets and be on hand to answer questions about pet adoptions and volunteering.
