GTPN organises Tibetan fashion show (Calcutta News)

New Delhi, Jan 24 : A Tibetan fashion show was orgainised by the Global Tibetan Professionals Network (GTPN) here.

The GTPN is a Tibetan community where professionals from diverse background come together to promote creative Tibetan activities.

The vision of GTPN is to promote specialization and professionalism among Tibetans in order to strengthen the community.

GTPN Coordinator Lhakpa Tsering said, " Our vision is - a successful Tibetan Community with participation and efforts and contributions of all the professionals."

The models showcased different Tibetan traditional dresses exclusively designed by Tsering Dickey and Tsering Choekyi. It was the first fashion show under the designers' banner, the GAARI Designs.

Tsering Choekyi said, "Today in this fashion show we only presented traditional dresses. This company is launched, with the purpose of taking forward the rich traditional heritage of Tibet in a contemporary manner."
