Indian Women's Association (IWA) held a fashion show as part of their annual dinner gathering recently.
Dressed in traditional Indian costumes, more than 30 participants represented the best of the South Asian country at the event and each of them explained the significance of the costumes briefly on the occasion.
Lakshmi Ramesh Babu and Shaelja Kaura were the judges. The three winners were Dr Neelam Goyal, Sabina Qazi and Arti Jain and they were crowned by IWA adviser Dr Ruma Kohli.
A team led by Anita Basu organised the fashion show. Abha Tewari and IWA president Anu Rajani assisted Basu. Vice president Frency Siganporia presented mementoes to the judges.
A raffle draw was held later.
Earlier, the forum's annual magazine Expression 2009 was released by Dr Ruma Kohli. IWA president Anu Rajani welcomed the gathering.
