A fashion show Saturday night at the visual arts center shows that clothing doesn't have to be new to be fashionable. 

This show what put on by goodwill store to show how you can still dress well even if you buy your clothes from Goodwill. 

News 13s own Greg Sherrod, Wayne Gentry and Bree Sison were there wearing nothing but clothes from good will. 

The show's organizer Jennifer Hart tells news 13 that all the money raised at tonight's event will go back into Goodwill.

Fashion show aims at preventing drunk driving (Gateway)

UNO will host a fashion show fundraiser Aug. 29 to raise awareness about drinking and driving with money donated going towards Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Amy Wieczorek, a local model and community health major at UNO, organized the event after losing someone close to her because of drunken driving.

"Two years ago my best friend, Morgan Hohnbaum, was killed by a drunk driver along with her boyfriend Josh Milana," Wieczorek said on the event's UNO Web site. "Burying her was the hardest thing I have ever done. It was even more difficult for her parents."

The show will begin at 7 p.m. in the UNO College of Public Affairs and Community Service Building's Collaborating Commons room 132.

First Lady and MADD National Board Member Sally Ganem, former Nebraska Cornhusker football player Matt Davison, Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Chuck Elley and UNO student Justin Reese, who was critically injured after a drunken driver in a pickup truck hit Reese last September.

Following the speeches, a fashion show will be take place with items from The Runway Boutique, Roots and Wings, The Buckle, Nouvelle Eve and Wake-N-Skate Boardhouse just to name a few.

Refreshments will be provided and prizes, including an iPod Nano, will be given away. Admission to this event is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome and required in order to win a prize.

This show is presented by the UNO chapter of Eta Sigma Gamma, a health education organization, Ban 'N Save, Hy-Vee, No Frills, Rightway, Inc., Nebraska Grocery Industry Association and the UNO Athletic Department.
